In order to preserve the natural wealth of this unique landscape, the Department has set up a traffic regulation plan during which access to the Bouillouses lake is restricted to shuttle buses departing from the Pla de Barres. For the summer period 2022, the shuttles will run: On the weekends of the 11th-12th, 18th-19th and 25th-26th of June 2022 Continuous service from Saturday 2 July to Sunday 4 September 2022 On the weekends of the 10th-11th and 17th-18th of September 2022 Outside these time periods, access is possible by personal vehicle. Shuttle bus timetable: regular service from 7am to 7pm (late service every half hour from 7pm to 8.30pm for the last run). For the safety and comfort of all passengers, dogs are allowed on the shuttles provided they are muzzled for the entire journey. Animals are limited to a maximum of 5 per shuttle. An information point is open 7 days a week from 13 May to 16 October 2022. Caravanning and motorhome use is prohibited within the classified area. Designated facilities are available close by.
